Concord Grape Jam

Concord grape jam, with a natural peanut butter, on fresh baked bread – what an incredible taste profile. Concord grapes don’t seem easy to come by, at least where we live in Minnesota, but it is worth the work it may take in scouting them out.

Go ahead. Get our your jars and make some. We know you want to! Here is a recipe you can follow for your own concord grape jam:

From Bog to Table: Delicious Cranberries

Wisconsin is widely know for cheese. But did you know the state is the top producer of cranberries in the United States? The soil, abundant water, and climate all contribute to making this an ideal place for the berries to grow.

Because of their unique flavor and nutritional benefits (go ahead, Google it), they make a pretty great canning ingredient.

Try this cranberry sauce recipe from Ball Mason Jars, or pull out one of your own. (There’s probably one written out on a recipe card somewhere in the family.)

Cranberry sauce is a perfect addition to any holiday table. Or maybe stick with the theme, and pair it with some delicious Wisconsin brie. Either way, can’t name a better ingredient when we think about sharing and celebrating the abundance.

Treat Yourself to Some (Pickled) Beets

We won’t beat around the bush: nothing beats canning pickled beets. We could keep going with the homophones, or we could just get to the canning part. Let’s do the latter. Penn State Extension can show you how to preserve beets, pickled or otherwise:
